minRedundantViaSetback (oacMinRedundantViaSetback)

Description

The built-in layer pair constraint, oacMinRedundantViaSetback, specifies the metal enclosure required on a metal layer when redundant vias are aligned on the same edge of that metal layer. This constraint is associated with a cut layer and the metal layer, where layer1 is the cut layer and layer2 is the metal layer.

Constraint at a Glance

Constraint type: oaLayerPairConstraint (Symmetric: no)
Value types: oaInt1DTblValue
Database types: oaDesign, oaTech
Object types: oaAppObject

Values

The following value types are supported by this constraint:

Manufacturing Reasons

This rule ensures that a small shift of the metal layer relative to the cut layer does not cause both vias, which are meant to be redundant, to be non-functional.
