The built-in layer array constraint oacMinTouchingDirectionExtension specifies an enclosure for the field end of the gate that is different from the enclosure for the channel. The direction of field end enclosure is based on where the top and bottom edges of the gate touch poly, and the direction of the channel enclosure is based on where the side edges of the gate touch diffusion. This constraint is defined among three layers and specifies whether the enclosure must be measured in Euclidean or Manhattan distances. The enclosure direction is in the normal direction (at 90 degrees) to the perimeter edges of layer2 that are touching layer3 (where touching means the edges are either enclosed or abutting layer3), where layer3 extends beyond layer2 in the same direction.

Object types: | oaAppObject |
The following value types are supported by this constraint:
This value specifies the enclosure for the field end of the gate.
Units: DBU
The following parameters are supported by this constraint:
Name | Value Type | Units | Default | Description | ||||||
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
distanceMeasureType oacDistanceMeasureTypeConstraintParamType |
oaIntValue | Enum | euclidian |
oacDistanceMeasureTypeConstraintParamType is the distance measure type, which determines whether the specified spacing value of the constraint is a Euclidian or Manhattan metric. The allowed value type for this parameter is an oaIntValue, and the allowed values are represented in oaDistanceMeasureTypeEnum. This parameter is represented by an oaDistanceMeasureType enumeration:
